Well this week everyone is going to be talking about water!! And more importantly- drinking it! Let’s get some silly facts out of the way and then get to the good stuff.
For starters, I have no degree in anything but early childhood and all my blogs will be based on lifestyle that I am living out, struggling through and thriving with you guys! I am no expert and you should absolutely do your own research and consult the correct professionals about anything I share. My personal favorite source of truth is the Bible, but you can also ask a doctor or google.
An easy way to know about how much water you as an individual should drink is to take your weight and divide it by two. That’s your number in ounces! I weigh 175lbs (fluctuating 5 pounds) so I need 87oz of water per day.
Let’s talk some fun ways to get your water in and some easy hacks to help! I looovvvve an energy drink in the mornings but I make myself drink an entire cup of water before I have it. Same rule applies for coffee, soda or any other fun drinks. I strictly drink cold water although, I have heard there are many benefits to drinking warm or hot water- that’s just not your girl (me). If you have a well insulated water bottle fill it up with ice and water the night before and put it on your counter so in the morning you can mindlessly grab it and chug. I recommend if you’re a multiple water bottle girly, at the beginning of each week you pick out one water bottle and every single day you use that one only. Keep it with you every where you go and then switch it at the end of the week. Also, if you struggle with too many water bottles this is a good way to test their functionality and donate some of them! I exclusively have straw water bottles that are colorful to make me happy!
Another way is to add hydration packets to your water to spice it up. I do recommend getting the majority of your water straight or with whole ingredients only. This would be lemons, limes, raspberries, cucumbers, peaches, you can mix and match them daily to fit your tastebuds or mood.
The goal here is hydration that we both feel and see. We all want to feel and look our best. Water will help with aging, wrinkles, energy, digestion, body temperature, joint health, and more. EVERYTHING is made of and needs water! Happy chugging!
